James Mifsud - 2019 Reventon International Winner

James Mifsud - 2019 Reventon International Winner

Congratulations to JAMES Mifsud for winning the inaugural 2019 Reventon Commercial Club International Snooker. James played solid snooker all weekend and and adapted well to the slick conditions. James defeated Matthew Bolton 4-2 in the final. What was the biggest prize pool snooker event for Australian Snooker in a long time, James takes home a prize cheque of $14,000. Well done JAMES. Matthew didn’t go home empty handed picking up a nice second prize cheque of $7,000.

Vinnie Calabrese made the high break of the tournament with a beautifully made 129.

The plate event which was worth $3,000 to the winner was won by Steven Donohoe from QLD who defeated Kurt Dunham 3-1 in the final.

The event was a great success with 107 players who competed. A big thanks to Reventon and the Commercial Club in Albury for their support. Also to Eddie Simmons and all officials and helpers that made this event memorable for all.

Thanks also to Dan Lynch from Cue Ball TV for yet another quality streaming of the finals including the plate event. You can watch the final between James and Mathew and some of the plate event via the video archive below.

This event now caps off the Tripe Crown series of events by Reventon which includes the Reventon Masters, Reventon Classic and now the Reventon International.

Up next is the Reventon Classic being held at the Yarraville Club / Reventon Snooker Academy from the 8th - 10th June. Following this is the Pacific International Billiards presented by Reventon, also at the Yarraville Club from the 11th - 14th June.
