ABSC Constitution Reform Approved
The Australian Billiards & Snooker Council (ABSC) advises that at the General Meeting held on 17 June 2026, members voted in favour of the Special Resolution to adopt the proposed changes to the ABSC Constitution.
The Board would like to thank those who participated in the meeting and contributed to this important governance milestone for our sport.
The constitutional amendments have been introduced to align the ABSC with contemporary governance standards and the requirements of the Australian Sports Commission. Adoption of these changes ensures the ABSC maintains its status as the National Sporting Organisation (NSO) for billiards and snooker in Australia and positions the sport to meet future governance expectations.
The Board acknowledges that these reforms represent a significant change in the way the ABSC and the sport are administered. As implementation progresses, further review and refinement may be required to ensure the Constitution continues to support the needs of our members and the sport more broadly.
The ABSC thanks all members for their engagement and ongoing support as we continue to strengthen the governance and long-term sustainability of billiards and snooker in Australia.
