Dvhaj Haria wins the Walter Lindrum Australian Open Billiards

Dvhaj Haria from India has won the 2025 Walter Lindrum Australian Open Billiards Championship by defeated Singapore’s Peter Gilchrist 1035 - 597 in front of a large crowd in the 3 hour final at the Yarraville Club. Haria displayed superb touch at the top of the table throughout the finals series making breaks of 275 in the quarter final, 313, 200 and 211 in his semifinal win against Rob Hall and 196 and 189 in the final against Gilchrist.

Gilchrist made a 238 break in winning his semi final match 704 - 403 against Melbourne’s Steve Mifsud. Australians Dave Cosgriff, Rod Nelson, Robbie Chilcott and Josh Burns were losing quarter finalists. Rob Hall made the highest break of the championship, a superb 383.

The Championship was generously sponsored by the Victorian Government, the Australian Billiards and Snooker Council, the Victorian Billiards and Snooker Association, World Billiards, Billiards Australia, Alcocks, CL&S and the Yarraville Club. A magnificent new perpetual trophy has been donated for the Championship by Tammy Lindrum and Robby Foldvari. Thanks to Tournament Director Paul Cosgriff and to Larry Eforgan and all the referees for an extremely successful event.
