U/21 Trans Tasman Team Challenge

New Zealand successfully defended their hold on the Under 21's Trans Tasman Team Challenge by defeating Australia 6-3.

After the doubles Australia trailed 2-1 but both Alex Pace and Kyle Thomson excelled in their singles to level the match at three all. Alex defeated the current Oceania U/21 champion Mario Hilditch five frames to two while Kyle defeated well fancied Adam Lilley five frames to one.

The three remaining singles matches went to New Zealand.

A personal best by Cody Turner who recorded his first ever century break compiling a fantastic 119 U/F.

Congratulations to the Aussie team for a well fought tournament but New Zealand proved to be far too strong on this occasion
