Australian U21 Billiards and Snooker Championships

Due to the recent outbreak of the latest strain of Covid-19 in NSW, some state borders closures have forced us to make the difficult decision to cancel the Junior Championships which were to be held at the Commercial Club, Albury from 26th June to 3rd July.

The ABSC deeply regret having to make this decision, but not only do we have a duty of care to our members we cannot stage Australian Championships with some players being excluded through no fault of theirs

ENTRIES CLOSE FRIDAY JUNE 18TH 2021.

Entry fees: Women’s and Men’s Snooker $60.00; Billiards $30 2 events combined $90.00

Conditions of play The Championships will be conducted under the ABSC playing conditions, and all matters pertaining to the Member Protection Policy, including the players’ code must be adhered to by you. A completed entry form with entry fees is required before a player is included in draw. Nominees must be a financial member of an Member of the ABSC. The format of the championships are Round Robin up to the quarter finals with Semi’s and Final to be played Sunday 11th April. The dress code must be complied with by all players. Formal attire must be worn for all matches. Predominately plain coloured shirts with sleeves below the elbow, dark coloured trousers or skirts no shorter than kneecap. Dark coloured dress shoes (may be open or closed toe). Waistcoats are to be worn from Quarter Final matches onwards. All players to report to the Tournament Director by no later than 9.00 am Thursday April 8th, 2021. This entry form constitutes part of the conditions of entry. Players must be under 21 as at January 1st 2021

Notice of the 88th Annual General Meeting of the Australian Billiards & Snooker Council Inc.

Notice is hereby given pursuant to clauses 10.1 and 10.3 of the Constitution that the Annual General Meeting of the Australian Billiards & Snooker Council Incorporated will be held on Saturday, 26th October, 2019 commencing 9.00 am at Mounties Club, 101 Meadows Road, Mt. Pritchard, NSW. Please ensure you are in attendance by 8:50am to enable us to start on time.

Voting Members, being the Member States as defined in clauses 1.1, 5.1 and 5.3 of the Constitution shall provide to the ABSC Secretary by email by no later than Wednesday 23rd October 2019 an instrument appointing a Representative, Proxy or Attorney to attend and vote at the General Meeting on behalf of the appointing Member under clause 10 of the Constitution.

The Board requests that as many Ordinary Members as possible attend this General Meeting.

As the entry form states there will be a girls event this year and the option of playing in the mixed gender snooker (Open)

We have also included billiards which there is no entry fee for some who may wish to play.

Selection for the world U/21 snooker will be made from this event.
