Latest Update From the ABSC

The ABSC have now formed a “Junior Sub-Committee” to improve our focus on juniors. The committee comprises of Frank Dewens, Warren King, Paul Thomerson, Greg Jenkins and Belinda Dinga. Our main focus will be the WPBSA White to Black program and the delivery of it nationally. We have the opportunity in getting a qualified coach from the UK to come to Australia to assist us in educating coaches on the program along with “Cue School” , another initiative of the WPBSA.

I recently had a meeting with Chris Christofi, CEO of the Reventon Group, who has agreed to assist in the funding of qualified referees to travel to various states to referee in major tournaments. Further to this Chris has also agreed to assist in the funding of our overseas reps that compete in the world championships. There are conditions attached to each of these agreements which the recipients will have to agree to. Further to this Chris has offered some funding for juniors in the form of an award. Details are yet to be confirmed but we are quietly confident that this will happen.
